80th Birthday Party - 20 People

We are planning an 80th birthday party for my partners mother Memorial Day weekend. We are staying at the Grand Hyatt at Metro Center. We are open to any options/restaurants. There will be 3 children (well behaved). We been to Brasserie Beck and Bibiana and thought about these two places. Cafe Milano is also on our list. Thanks.

Honestly don't go to Cafe Milano. There are much better options out there. I think Bibiana is a wonderful idea, especially if they can give you one of the more private sections of the restaurant.

In a similar price range and not too far from your hotel is PS7, which could be a good option. They have a nice private room. Also Acadiana.

I do agree about Cafe Milano, we like the bar area for drinks because we usually meet interesting people. The food is mediocre and over priced. I will check out PS7, Acadiana, and Againn suggested by woodleyparkhound. The location does not need to be in the hotel area. Thanks.

I like BB and Bibiana as well. Also, Againn might work for you. Lots of people have recommended Corderoy (I haven't been).

I would advise you to remove Cafe Milano from your list - a place to see and be seen with mediocre food and high prices.

Corduroy is delicious and they have a nice private room. But if there are any issues with stairs for your group, this likely isn't the place. There is a set of stairs to enter the restaurant and another set to get up to the private dining area.
