Opinions on the following spots
Looking to bring a few friends out to a trendy, somewhat affordable place. Could anyone either advise on the following or reccomend some others that fit within the field?
Saxon & Parole
*Ranked the following in terms of what I think would work best.
*Am looking to dine between 7-9:30 and possibly out for drinks after
They're all solid, and other than moving Commerce down a notch, that's pretty much the order I'd put them in. Public & LV are the best of the list - it's hard to say one is "better" than the other, as they're just different. LV is more traditional, Public is more adventurous. For me, I find the food at Public a little more exciting, but I like adventure.
Also in the same price range - thought rezzies are hard to come by, depending on the date / time you want to dine - is Acme. Fantastic food, uber-trendy right now. Weeknights you should be able to get a decent table, if maybe not prime dining hours (7:30 - 9:30 give or take) - weekends might be a bit of a stretch, though.
And of course, if you're willing to dine w/o a rezzie, either of the Momofukus (Ssam Bar or Noodle Bar) in the EV are perma-trendy. Ssam can get a little more expensive, but the menu is pretty varied price-wise so it's easy to get in & out for a reasonable amount as long as you're not ordering the high-end outliers.
