Photo booths in Manhattan?
Looking for a bar/restaurant that has a photo booth in it, but, it's for a friend's birthday, so we're trying to avoid any super dive-y bars. Does anyone have a suggestion? We'll be in the LES area, but willing to travel within reason.

Bubby's in Tribeca has a pretty big space, a solid and varied menu... AND a photo booth! The photo booth is downstairs on the way to the bathrooms, so it's not like it's next to your table. Not sure if that matters. I went to Bubby's a few weeks ago and was very pleasantly surprised by the food. I didn't try the photo booth, but noticed it on the way to the restrooms.

I know you've asked for a place in Manhattan, but since you say you're willing to travel a bit from the LES, a mere two stops into BK on the L train, you have the very wonderful, very fun Brooklyn Winery. It's a beautiful space (urban rustic?) with good wines, bar snacks, and a photo booth in the events room on the second floor, complete with a box of costumes to play with. There's a pretty good selection of wine + some beers, but no cocktails, I don't think.

re: michelleats
I'm scurrying back to this post to correct two things:
1. The photo booth at Brooklyn Winer doesn't seem to be out all the time. I was there today and didn't see it. If you are relying on the photo booth for the occasion, please call ahead to make sure it's available.
2. It's only one stop into BK on the L train (Bedford St. stop).
Hope you find your perfect venue, Leila.

Not sure what you consider to be "within reason," but the lobby/bar at the Ace Hotel on 29th has a photo booth. Pretty good cocktails at the bar, but it can get crowded. You could also do drinks/food at The Breslin, although it's a bit separated from the photo booth.

The Lakeside Lounge has a photo booth. No food, and it is somewhat dive-y, but not (in my opinion) super dive-y. Medium dive-y. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, also. It's crowded on weekend nights when a popular band is playing, low-key at other times. You might want to call them to ascertain that the booth actually works - I haven't used it in many years.

Went to a company party at the Standard Hotel and there is a photo booth on the lower level right down the stairs from the biergarden area. I would imagine it would be a fun location for a birthday....beer, sausages, pretzels and ping-pong tables without the divey atmosphere.
