Dinner near Marsh Theatre on Valencia?
The Marsh is on Valencia between 21st and 22nd Streets. I would appreciate any dinner suggestions within two blocks - the closer the better as my friend is recovering from knee surgery.
Range is way too loud for me, even on weeknights.
Has Rice Bowl Joint opened yet in the old KFC/Spork space?
I'm looking for something not too loud and would prefer not to eat Indian food. Also need to be able to get in and out within 90 minutes.

almost as close as Rice Bowl are restaurants on 22nd between Mission and Valencia - Garcon, Esperpento, Lolo, Of those I'd probably pick Garcon, only because I haven't been to Lolo yet ( but have friends that liked it pre-show at the Marsh), and Esperpento is waaaaaay too garlicky. a little further: Nombe (21st and Mission); Velvet Cantina (23rd btw Valencia and Mission); We Be Sushi (Valencia btw. 21st and 22nd.)
None of the places above will come anywhere near Range in quality.
I personally did not like Tuba. I do like Foreign Cinema but agree it's probably not a quick dinner, and not particularlly quiet, unless you sit outside. Beretta is a nightmare of noise.

Foreign Cinema is quite close, but it might not be a good choice for a quick meal.
Tuba would be an interesting choice. The first time I went there I loved it, the next time not so much. Part of the problem is that I don't know Turkish food well enough. The first time I let our server guide me. The next time with a larger group we ordered individually and the results were uneven. But the ambiance is nice and relatively quiet, the service was good. Worth considering.
The Beast and the Hare is close as well. It looks interesting, but I have not been there so I can't recommend it.

Rice Broker would definitely be your best bet. It's only open Wednesday - Sunday for dinner, though, so check their website to confirm it's open before you go. I have tried a couple of the bowls and have been happy with the price quality ratio, and you'll be able to get in and out of there within your 90 minute request. There are a few other restaurants nearby (like The Crepe House, Zaytoon, etc.) but I think the food at Rice Broker is better. Beretta would be another nearby choice, but if Range is too loud for you, Beretta probably would be as well.
