Tipping the teppanyaki chef

Taking the kids to a teppanyaki restaurant this weekend and not sure how to tip (haven't been to one in many years). I assume we'll have a server. Do I tip the server on the bill amount and give something extra to the teppanyaki chef or does 1 tip cover everyone? Standard 20% of the bill?

I can tell you confidently .....no one knows the ways tips are handled, shared or dispersed in the particular restaurant you are thinking about going to.

Tip 20%.......give the chef 5% and 15% on the check.........you certainly are welcomed to tip more if you desire..... a 5 spot or a buck or two per diner .
