Looking for a casual restaurant with great entertainment! HELP!
Our Chicago office is hosting our annual F&B Director's meeting and I need help finding a casual restaurant that offers great entertainment with moderate prices. We are a very laid back, and fun company with locations in the East Coast so entertainment is huge to us. The dinner will take place during the week. Great drinks or wine list are a plus. Trying to stay within the $$$ price range and close to the downtown area. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You!

Honky Tonk Barbecue in the Pilsen neighborhood on the near south side has good barbecue and live music.

In Chicago there's next to nothing like that. Your options (off the top of my head) are Alhambra (Moroccan-ish) on Randolph (I've never been, so I can't give you a firsthand review), Juliana (Assyrian) on Peterson, Nacional 27 (Latin) in River North - more dancing than entertainment. This doesn't include places that have live music acts - there are a number in town with Blues, Jazz or other acts.

re: ferret
I personally would recommend staying far away from Alahambra Palace. I had one of my worst dining experiences at that venue, and judging from their overall reviews that is the norm. It is mediocre food at upscale prices, poor service and the most cheesy, annoying (and loud) entertainment imaginable. Overpriced drinks to boot.
I agree that there are not a lot of venues in Chicago (if any) known for good food and entertainment. Tons of great venues though that are fun, casual, great food and drinks and not too expensive, so that might be a better option. Carnivale may offer what you are looking for, but not sure how often they have entertainment. Might be worth looking at though.
