Jersey's (Aurora)

This is for general information and in particular, for Magic who had talked about visiting this establishment on Yonge St. in Aurora.

Jersey's has been a bar and grill for a number of years under some different owners. Including former Maple Leafs goalie Mike Palmateer. It's currently undergoing "Restaurant Makeover" which sent a chill up and down my spine. They had well above average bar fare and the patio out front was a great place on a warm summer evening. Well, the patio is staying. Unfortunately the makeover extends into the kitchen and onto the menu. It's no longer going to be a bar and grill but an Italian restaurant I'm told. I hope for the owners sake they do well and certainly a good pie on the patio would be nice. But there's also a part of me that hopes this is a failure and they put things back the way they belong. I hate rooting against someones livelihood but I'll miss the old place. It's one of those places that gets very little transient business. It's all regulars. Seems like every time I find a place like that it doesn't last. I guess there's just not enough business from regulars.

Anyway, I'm sure I'll give it a try and will report back.

Hey Davwud! I was all down for visiting Jersey's in its former incarnation as it sounded right in my wheelhouse. A Restaurant Makeover Italian spot...... not so much I'm afraid. :(

I mean, if you go and find that it is great, then sure, I will join you on a second visit.

My neighbour has been going to Jersey's every Tuesday since before I moved in. He's not happy.
