Private room in Los Angeles for 30 people

Hey everyone- I've been lurking around the boards for awhile now and finally made an account! I'm looking for a place to celebrate a graduation that can also accommodate around 30 people. My budget is around 40-50/person but that is somewhat flexible (incl tip/gratuity, no alcohol) . I am hoping to get a private room as well. Looking for American/French/Italian, or really any place that has a variety of foods so that people will find something they will like. Do y'all know of a restaurant that fits the bill? Cheers!

  1. Darya Persian Food in West LA has a private room on the second floor that can accomodate your group.

The Universal Hilton in Studio City has one of my favorite rooms for that size party. They have a giant 30 person circular table and they serve Chinese banquet style. It's like a UN meeting in a private room. There is a couch and Projection TV in a separate greeting area in the same room that people can congregate in before sitting down. If you want some decoration like flowers on the table, you need to provide that yourself.

If you like Persian food, Darya is one of the best. I would question the food at the Universal Hilton, although I have not tried it and may be being a snob.

    2. Fritto Misto in Santa Monica would work for your party: http://www.usmenuguide.com/frittomist...

      1. Mozza's ~ Mid-Wilshire (North of) ~ Private room holds 30:

Chinois ~ Santa Monica ~ Private room is large enough:

        1. Westside Tavern has a nice private room and is in your budget.

          1. Thanks for all the suggestions so far! I am definitely looking into Westside Tavern as I've seen many other Chowhound members suggest that for groups and it seems like it is within my budget. The menu at Westside Tavern fits what I am looking for. We will inquire about Darya as well. Replying back to JBC, either of the two Mozza's (Pizzeria/Osteria) and Chinois may be too expensive for our budget.

            1. Osteria La Buca has a really nice private room and can arrange family-style dinners in your price range. I think their food rivals any Italian restaurant in our city.
