Marina Del Rey - need suggestions

I am looking for a restaurant recommendation for lunch on a patio. Obviously looking for good food but more importantly amazing view. Particularly of a marina, will be dining with a boat enthusiast.

I believe that patio dining area at the Ritz Carlton has very nice views.

Another great water view place with a stellar beer list is Tony P's Dockside Grill (just about next door to Cafe Del Rey). Whatever you do don't go to Shanghai Red's or the Warehouse or any of the tourist traps in the Fisherman's Village. Killer Shrimp has a pretty new place along that same stretch of road as Tony P's and Cafe Del Rey, but it has been getting some later lukewarm reviews here so it might not be a great idea at this point.

probably your best bet for a view of the Marina and good food is Cafe Del Rey.

Mendocino Farms has some of the best sandwiches in the city. Love their Steak Blt with
carved steak, applewood bacon, romaine lettuce, roasted tomatoes, herb aioli, caramelized onions on toasted rustic white bread + blue cheese crumbles. Very casual. Very highly recommended. They do have a patio but no Marina water view. You can always picnic at Burton Chase Park a few blocks away with full marina view.
