GA PIG Closed

I know this Brunswick, GA place off I-95 gets its shareof picks and pans but no more. Last plate of Q sold yesterday. Lost lease. Hearing the place will become a gas station.

  1. I've eaten there a couple of times and didn't really care for it. Didn't think it terrible, just not worth going out of the way for.

My condolences to those who will miss it and to those who might be out of work.

Been a long time since I was there but that was the surliest crowd I have ever run into in the restaurant business.

    2. Gary Lee's Market 1 mile west is superior to the Ga Pig.

          1. Old thread--but I'm sad to hear this. I used to go there on my way to Florida every spring with my family when I was growing up. I have many fond memories of dinners at the Pig, but I won't miss the sulfurous smell of the water in the women's bathroom!

I remember the waitress explaining to us that the iced tea was made with sulfur water and that we might find it undrinkable. It wasn't that bad to me but wondered why they didn't use purified water.
