Need Venue HELP please! 50th Birthday

Hi All,

I'm planning a 50th birthday for my husband (in October), and desperately need venue suggestions. Yes, I'm planning now, to at least secure the space. Location would be anywhere from Oakville to Toronto. Atmosphere would be social/dance party like a awesome wedding (once the dancing starts), but NOT a wedding!

The "perfect" venue would provide:

Private room for approx. 75-90 people
Music (provided or allow us to bring our own)
Dance floor
Appetizers served
Buffet for late night grazing (nice to have)
Open bar
Budget would be around $5-6K

With the investment going onto this, I don't want it to be a drop in, then people leave. It wouldn't be a formal dinner as it's all about the party and dancing, but would have food available for sure!

Don't want the Public able to stumble in.
Free parking if possible
Easy to get to

Maybe a tall order?? All suggestions appreciated.

Might want to increase the budget to about $70 a person - although you are not serving a full sit down meal the open bar and appetizers will bring the price way up. Appetizers are more expensive to make and very time consuming prep.
