Are there any restaurants in downtown (or near) Toronto that still make a proper Caesar salad at your table? Thank you!

Definitely Jacobs & Co. Very proper. Very tasty.

Mmmmmmm......Jacobs makes the best table side Caesars. It's their speciality!

TJ caesars - were much better than Jacobs.

I think the opposite. Jacobs' makes the best table-side ceaser in the city. And their steaks are better than TJ's too.

Looks like I will have to have a serious 'Caesar salad contest'! Thanks everyone for the info. My friend from Montreal will probably love both and the steak too. Me, I haven't eaten red meat for 20 years! Can't wait to try those Caesars though! Cheers!

I also heard Centro makes a mean, if un-orthodox, caeser, but I've not had one myself as yet... perhaps another potential destination - although I don't know if it's made table-side. I would suspect not.

              And do report back!

In Mississauga I've had good tableside caesar salads from Aristotle's steakhouse and Zorro's steakhouse.

The best I've ever had though, by a longshot, was at Queue de Cheval in Montreal
