help us plan our two nights please!

staying up in Palm Beach - wanting to get down to see South Beach, perhaps Coconut Grove?, and wherever any of you recommend a not-to be-missed place. I have been reading a bit - and am thinking of Lulu's for dinner and Barton G;s for dessert. How does this sound? Also - what and where else?? Daytimes will be spent on the beach.

bumping this up hoping to get some replies --- I think we are ditching the plan to get to the Grove - can't go back in time and i am afraid it might be underwhelming at this stage of our lives! Thinking we would go to Michaels' for dinner and then to South Beach for dessert at Barton G;s.

What about our other evening? Ft. Lauderdale? Where for dinner? We are totally open for suggestions but since we are staying up in Palm Beach I wouldn't want to drive down to Miami both nights.

            why not?

I thought that the food at Barton G isn't tops but the presentation is something far from ordinary and would be memorable and fun?

Because the desserts are much better at michaels.

Why do you ask for opinions, from locals, and then argue with them? Root canal can be 'memorable,' but not necessarily fun. Reading Doonesbury can be 'fun,' but not necessarily memorable.

sorry southocean - didn't mean to argue - I am sure you must do the same when you visit an area where you are so limited by time, and have preconceived notions based upon family personal photos, that you want to clarify as much as possible to enable to make the best decision!!

If we are continuing down to South Beach the same evening, where else might anyone recommend to visit?
