ISI Whip Question [moved from General Topics]

I just received an used ISI whip from someone, but they didn't include the charger holder thing. Is there a way I can screw it in or whatever without that cylinder? A new one is like $15 including shipping and would take more than a week.

I have an older ISI whip (10 year old probably) and it only came with a blue canister holder that you use to physically push the canister into the cap to discharge the gas. My seltzer bottle has the screw on cap.

So there is the possibility that you can just wrap the cartridge in a kitchen towel and press it into the canister. I do hand hold on my cartridges to discharge on my whipper - I have no idea if the canister designs have changes/etc. But it is how it used to be done on older models.

Wait the week, you can't handhold the cylinder on, and it would make a dandy little rocket around the kitchen.
