Caterer in mid-Michigan?

  • 3

Hello All,

I'm planning a wedding to be in Lansing, and wondered if anyone had suggestions on caterers to check out? I saw a rec for Special A'Fare on chow, but they spelled terrine wrong on their menu and I'm hesitant about using a company that doesn't even know how to spell what they're trying to sell. My options right now look a little slip, so I'll still check them out, I'm just hoping there are some better, less advertised options.

Thanks!

  1. Caterers will travel, so you could look further afield like Ann Arbor or Detroit too. I don't know of any caterers in Lansing, other than maybe Dusty's Cellar in Okemos (suburb of Lansing). There are going to be places that spell terrine wrong on the menu, or worse. However, there will be some really great, professional places as well. There will also be some really quirky places that will cater too. What kind of food vibe are you going for, chafing dishes or taco trucks? Maybe someone from around the capitol will chime in...

    1. There is an excellent restaurant, Fork In The Road Diner, that spun out of a food truck, Trailer Park'd. They are located in Lansing and are absolutely fantastic. They have a very innovative menu and everything we have tried has been wonderful. These boys know food! I'm not sure if they cater but it's worth a try! Good luck!

Have you considered the Kellogg Center at MSU? I've had several good wedding meals there.
