Michael Jordan's Steakhouse @ Mohegan Sun
This place just isn't that good. I was there a few years back and wasn't blown away. Went back again recently to give it another shot. Perhaps, I shouldn't have? Confused staff ignored us when we first walked in. Casual but unpolished service. Tables were close together. Steak tartare was bland and unexciting. Steak was overcooked and certainly not worth $48. Tasteless polenta accompanied scallops. Dessert was a joke. The best part of the meal was the sides, the mac and cheese and homefries are two things I would be happy to eat again. Sadly, the rest not so much... for a few bucks more we could have went to Craftsteak at Foxwoods and had a much better time.

I used to really love MJ's steakhouse but it has gone downhill over the years. The desserts are never worth it, in terms of calories and price. They just aren't that good. I do adore their sides: they have the best creamed spinach ever (no, really) and I love their home fries. The garlic bread with the blue cheese fondue is also great, however anything with garlic and a ton of cheese will be a hit with me.
My steak has always been cooked perfectly and I have no complaints there, though I am not sure they are good enough to justify the hefty price tag. The other dishes (appetizers, other entrees, and even the salads) have been hit or miss. For the price, I expect much more consistency.
