On two waiting lists - suggestions for something new to us and delicious?
We are on wait lists for Minibar and Komi for the end of the month for a short DC trip from NY. I am not holding my breath for either. Have enjoyed lots of places in DC/Va - Restaurant Eve, Citronelle, CityZen, Vidalia, Rasika, Central, Sushi Taro, Vermillion. I would love to have a reservation in hand for someplace delicious, including delicious for a vegetarian, that we haven't tried yet. We won't have a car, so places farther out/not metro accessible won't work. Any suggestions? Budget is irrelevant. Thanks!

Rogue 24 looks interesting, though from some of the reviews it looks like people have found the food inconsistent? In any event, I am waiting to hear back from them about a reservation. After that, maybe Equinox? I'll keep considering. Corduroy is one that is always on my short list, but I have never actually been. Thanks for the suggestions!

re: Olive123
I have also been to Minibar and while it is more innovative than Rogue 24 (i.e. you will eat some very wierd stuff) I actually enjoyed the food better at Rogue overall. Of course, not every dish was to my taste but I think that is to be expected with 24 dishes but I think there was only 1 that I just couldn't finish. I also left full from Rogue where I was still hungry after Minibar.
Either way good luck getting into one of your top choices.

Good luck getting accepted from the waiting list. Trying to get into Minibar and Komi is much like trying to get in to Harvard. haha
A couple of places to consider:
The Source--I ate here recently for my big birthday celebration and it was outstanding. I would list this as one of the top restaurants in DC. The experience was wonderful with top notch wine service and a wonderful waiter. There is also the option for a vegetarian tasting menu.
Equinox--Chef Todd Gray is one of the best chef's in DC, focusing on local, season mid-Atlantic cuisine. Equinox is a wonderful dining experience. He usually has vegetarian options and a tasting menu. You can also call over ahead of time and make sure there are options for you.
Bibianna--this is one of my favorite newer restaurants in DC. Just a superb Italian restaurant. I have vegetarian friends who have always been able to find options here.
