Quick question: Colicchio & Sons' Tap Room or Main Dining Room?

Which would you take a group consisting of two 20-somethings from Tampa, a 35 yr old who gets anxious at nice restaurants (and is not a foodie in the least), and a 30-something named secondbecky who really loves trying new and different things. I'm guessing tap room, but wanted to see if anyone had any real objections thereto?

The Tap Room. It's more casual. The menu ranges from pizza to burgers to composed dishes. Really good cocktails, and wines on tap! Just shoo them away if they appear to be rushing you.

Tap Room has simple but interesting dishes. I like it.

I've only been to the dining room and loved it. The food was excellent as was the service. Neither the food nor the atmosphere would cause problems for someone who is anxious in a nice restaurant.

Neither are very good. Do a search on this board and you probably wont find more than 1-2 good reviews. (Search box in top right corner)

If you are choosing it because you like Top Chef - try Craft instead.

thanks, although it wasn't really my question. I don't care about TC, I just needed a table for four on March 10 and C&S had openings.
I just wanted to know if anyone had objections to tap room and would choose dining room over it.
