African American Restaurant Marayway (E. 170th St. & Sheridan Ave.) - any recent reports?
I'm going to be in that area on Monday and am wondering whether it's a good place to grab a late lunch. I can't find much online (just one Yelp review from '08), although there is a brief mention of it in this old thread:

I've been going a lot over the last few weeks doing, and every dish I've had has been excellent. The mafe is particularly good; unlike peanut butter soups at a lot of other West African joints, the flavor is successfully integrated into the dish as a whole. They have a limited selection (the place is pretty damn shabby), but I don't think anything is really a no go. No ginger drinks though! Have you been to Bate?

Thanks, that's encouraging. I have not been to Bate. I almost never get to the Bronx, and I can't recall ever eating in a restaurant there (which is kind of embarrassing, come to think of it). I know almost nothing about West African food - just trying to expand my horizons. I appreciate your help!
