Winter 2012 Farmers Market Watch
I liked Windy's farmers market posts, but I haven't seen one for Winter yet ... but it has been so dreary the past few weeks with boring root veggies, cauliflower, broccoli, broccoli, broccoli and where have all the flowers gone in the Happy Boy salad mix.
One vendor was selling gypsy broccoli which has a longer thinner stalk than the usual variety. Not much different in taste.
The strawberries still aren't there yet. I have not had any really good ones yet
However,!!!, theThe first Zuckerman's asparugus appeared at the Grand Lake farmers market last week.
Can spring be far behind?
