Bad Mood Food in Davis/Porter for Takeout

Swankalicious Feb 29, 2012 12:07 PM

I am having an EXCEEDINGLY bad day, I'm sad, and it's snowing.
I want to take home something delicious. I'm in Porter/Davis and want to pick up something spicy, luscious, warm and bountiful for takeout -- something I can graze on all night while watching TV and pouting. Ideas??

Sounds like a job for tom yum fried rice with crispy chicken at Rod Dee.

I like the seafood version ... seafood in the rice, crispy fried chicken pieces on top.

Maybe washed down with a quesadilla from Anna's and a frappe from Emack and Bolio.

Rod Dee noodle from Rod Dee - wide rice noodles, several proteins including squid, side spicy sauce that is piquant and has zing - add Cholula as needed. Sorry about the bad day.

Back-up - Take-out pizza from Pescatore - hot cherry peppers, sausage and/or broccoli rabe. (Make sure you enunciate - I have mumbled and received broccoli "raw")

        The Combo from Redbones.

(ducking, as the hounds load their spitball shooters at me)

No spitballs -- a personal fave of mine. Though I prefer their baby backs these days.

boneless fried chicken w/ curry sauce over rice from Cafe Mami, w/ green tea shake...if still hungry, a bowl of Sapporo house ramen and a side order of their roast pork... and a Schlenkerla Rauchbier from Liquor World...life is good

hope everything's more regulated today. What'd you choose for pouting? (Not poutine, I hope.)

"poutine for pouting" sounds perfect ... I think that'll be my next choice when I'm in a pouting mood.
