Good Food in Briarcliff Manor

I went into this place on a whim the other day and was seriously happy with what I found: a simple menu of sandwiches, salads, soups, and crepes, heavy on the local/seasonal veggies. (I think there were bigger entrees, too; not sure.) There are several specials every day, and it's all made by the owner, a lovely man on a mission. It's a tiny spot (where the empanada place used to be) with only a few tables. I think they do a lot of takeout orders. I noticed that Tuesdays are Fish Taco Tuesdays. Oh--they have Jane's ice cream, too! I'll be back.

This place has seriously good food. Jon makes all his own breads and soups and everything is fresh and delicious. I've tried a few of his sandwiches and salads and they're always tasty and well-prepared. You can't go wrong, particularly at his prices. This is now my "go to" place when I want a quick, casual meal in Briarcliff.

I drove by this place today and it looked like they were doing a very good business (will have to try it). But Almalfi's which is on the opposite side of the street and down a little looked closed. Does anyone know what's going in there?

I believe I saw a sign in Orfino's window saying that they were moving into that space.

I've been craving some Jane's-- was at Poppy's in Beacon the other day and was sad to see the Beacon Creamery closed for the season. With Blue Pig closed too, I'll definitely stop by for an ice cream fix.
