Looking for live music and inexpensive dinner

I work in manhattan and would like to find somewhere to go out for dinner one weeknight that has either live jazz or piano. I'm open to all types of cuisine, casual or classy. In terms of price range, I'm looking for entrees in the $12-18 range if that helps.

There's a non-well-known bar on McDougall St between W. 4th and Bleecker called The Grisly Pear. On Wed nights, they have two jams going on at once: "old time" Scottish and Irish music in the front room, and bluegrass in the back. It's a lot of fun, and they offer reasonably good and reasonably priced bar food. Note, however, that the music doesn't usually get going til around 10:00.

Russian Vodka Room and Cornelia Street Cafe also have music and not so expensive food, although which nights at the vodka room I'm not sure.

Arturo's and La Lanterna Caffe both have live jazz on most nights and are quite affordable.

Cleopatra's Needle on the upper west side should be pretty close to that price range and covers for the music are pretty reasonable (or non-existant) most nights. Smoke has kind of expensive food, but might be close as well.

The food and drinks at Smoke leave a lot to be desired, unfortunately. Arturo's pizza is quite good (though not exceptional) and the live jazz is quite good.
