great food + music?...dare I say "gastro-pub"?

Morning all,

Some friends and I are looking for a saturday night spot- somewhere we can have dinner and then transition to a bar/pub area. There will be approximately 10 of us, and while price isn't a limiting factor- if we could keep the costs to around $50/pp that would be great...also- there are vegetarians in the mix.

Not looking to dance or even for a lounge...just somewhere the management won't mind us nursing food and drinks for a couple hours.

Some ideas floating around are:

enetoca sociale (it's advertised as a wine 'bar'- but will they want us out after 2 hours?)
the drake (haven't been there in years- so no idea what it has to offer anymore).

Any suggestions would be welcome.

thanks.

The Drake is better than Enoteca for loitering. Enoteca is very much a restaurant, despite its "wine bar" tag, and it's all just one big ol' room. However, the food at ES would be better than The Drake. Can you do both? No need to choose then!

Lucid has recently opened on Queen West and that's very much a cocktail/nibbles place. The drinks aren't cheap though.

416 is fun and low-key, but busy.

If you're on the East end, maybe dinner at one of the local places and then reserve the back room at Swirl?
