Opinions on Traiteur Robert Alexis?

My fiance and I are in the process of selecting a caterer for our wedding. Right now, Robert Alexis has the top spot, but we'd love some feedback from the CH community. Any stories to tell about Robert Alexis? Next two options are Avocado and Agnus Dei, feedback on them would be great as well.
Thank you in advance!

  1. I got married last summer. Finding a good caterer was really hard! I can not advise on Robert Alexis but I can on Avocado. What I can say is stay away from them. They are really expensive! At first, their services seems interesting but when I looked closer and asked more question, it was insane! They were trying to charge 150$ for each server to have their hair done! When we asked how much they charge to rent plates, glass, ... they told me they have really nice plate for 8$. Yes 8$ one plate! Must be really nice at 8$. At that price, I'll buy them!

We finally give the contract to M sur Masson! We have always loved this restaurant and was really happy to have them caterer this special day. The food was wonderful & we had really good feedback from our guests. Service was also top notch! They also took care of the wine at an excellent price.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for the advice!

I'm aware of the price difference between Avocado and other caterers. Although, you can opt out of the charge for the servers to have their hair done. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me!

How many people did you have at your wedding?

    2. We at work have gotten our lunches catered by them for years and have always been pleased with their services. Of course they are simple lunches but the food is always fresh, the items creative and are always looking for an excuse to order there.

That's good to hear. We'll have about 250 guests at the wedding, i'm curious to hear how they do with banquets of this size.
