My wife and I are visiting Las Vegas for the first time. Are there any good old fashion steakhouses. The dark wood, red leather, quiet, dim lighting, kind of establishment with great steaks and drinks?

    1. Del Frisco's is hands down my favorite steakhouse in Vegas, it's a little off the strip and maybe half a pricing tier down from the top strip steakhouses and has an environment like the one you describe, I highly recommend it.

      1. We haven't been in a while, but believe it or not "The Steakhouse" in Circus Circus offers a really good steak in an old-school Vegas environment. Here's the link:

Another option if you want to go downtown is Hugo's Cellar which offers a nice selection of steaks and the ambience is similar to what you are looking for; their table-side salad service and presentation of a rose to all ladies are both nice touches. Here's the link:

        1. For an old school Las Vegas steakhouse, I don't think you can beat the one at Circus Circus. I haven't eaten there in about 5 years, but the last time I was there it was solid.

          1. I would recommend Lawry's The Prime Rib . Service and food are ode to old school era of fine dinning. Can't recommend it enough.
