Vegetarian caterer or restaurant in the boroughs
We're looking for a restaurant with a private party room for 60-80 people, or a catering hall and a vegetarian caterer. Any boro works....we just want really great food!
Do the Sri Chinmoy restaurants do catering...? One is in Flushing; another in Jamaica...and they are pure veg.
Any particular cuisine you prefer? For Chinese, there are Happy Buddha and Buddha Bodai in Flushing...they are pure veg but not sure if they have banquet rooms/catering capabilities.
I know Spicy and Tasty (also) has private party rooms and they do have quite a few vegetarian options but they are definitely not pure veg.
Sripraphai has a dedicated vegetarian menu -- another possibility? (Again, no banquet room -- though they do have a lot of space now...)
Maharaja in Jax Heights is pure veg and they do cater (no banquet room, certainly) but their food is nothing special -- typical North Indian. Same re: Rajbhog...
I'll keep thinking...

Have you considered Wafa's in Forest Hills?
I don't believe they have a private room but I know they do catering and you can have a pretty fabulous vegetarian or even vegan meal with minimal effort given what they always have on their menu.
Hope this helps you out!

Does the ganesh temple canteen cater? they may also offer private spaces for events, though perhaps only to temple members.
Also, I would think that some of the bigger chinese restaurants could offer a party room and a vegetarian banquet menu.
And what about the Indian places out in Floral Park? Any of them big enough or cater? I know there are places in NJ that cater pure veg Indian food, but don't know anything about Floral Park.

Thanks for your help. The restaurant doesn't have to be strictly vegetarian, but have enough choices that we could create an interesting menu that is vegetarian.
IF anyone knows of a catering space in the outer boroughs that is attractive, we could cater from a restaurant, but I have no idea of where to start looking for catering spaces.
