I really like the menu for RPM Italian. Has anyone gone yet?
I went to RPM this week. The place is huge and buzzing.
The menu is excellent. The lobster caprese is fantastic. The semolina with ricotta is excellent. The pasta carbonara is made without cream , which is the way it should be made. The cavatelli ragu is excellent. The spaghetti and meatballs , is just OK. The meatballs had very little flavor. All the pasta is homemade. The fritta
misto was amazing. The polenta appetizer is a must. The Sicilian slow cooked pork is incredible. The veal chop was very good.
The canollis are terrible, hard to really call them canollis.
The attitude of the staff is a little uppity, but they do loosen up after a while.
I highly recommend this place. The food is excellent. It is one of the best Italian restaurants in Chicago. Mia Francesca used to be my favorite.
