Kid-friendly San Diego chow

My two Northern California kids and I will be visiting your fair city next spring to see all the cool spots: LegoLand, Seaworld, the Zoo. We'll be staying at a place in Mission Bay. Any kid-friendly chowspots near any of these locations? Also: any recommendations about places to eat at LegoLand/Seaworld/the Zoo? Thanks in advance!...

Corvette Diner in Hillcrest (5th just N of University) for kitchy 50s theme. Big place with good malts and burgers, and waitresses with gum-snapping attitude. Plenty of kids and noise. Inexpensive. No reservations as far as I know. Usually a short wait.

I had some friends visiting recently with 5 and 2 year olds. We had lunch at Old Town Mexican Cafe, in Old Town. It's a great family place, the kids loved the mariachis that came around to our table, and they have great pozole.

Nugent's Seafood Restauraunt (off Carmel Valley Road) is very child friendly (owned by a couple with kids).

Also, for breakfast near Legoland consider Pipes in Cardiff--big patio, good breakfasts.

The people in the office with kids like to go to Pat & Oscars.....there are several in the North County. I'm attaching a link.

Near legoland is tri tip meats which is a deli/restaurant that is inexpensive and more or less self serve. Food is very good they serve b.l.and dinner.

Near mission bay is a breakfast lunch place called the broken yolk. Look in the Reader magazine in the food section for the $2 discount coupons.
