SD Farmer's Markets

Hi. I see that someone posted a link to a list of all all the SD farmer's markets. Which of these are the most notable/best? I'll be visiting next week and would love to stop by one or two to get some local produce.

Oops, I posted my reply to your question on the earlier thread, before I opened this one.

I found your response. Thanks for the feedback--it looked like no one would find my question down there, so I reposted it up here..

Click the Find a CFM icon then click the South Coast heading. This site gives you all the North County markets as well as the ones in SD itself.

Thanks, but this doesn't really answer my question. If you had time to go to only one or two farmer's markets in SD, which ones would they be?

I shop the Oceanside (Thurs), Vista (Sat am), Del Mar (Sat p.m.) and Solana Beach (Sun) markets. The only one I think is really worth a special trip is in Del Mar. It is big and varied enough to be interesting and has a great location right in old Del Mar. Fun area to shop and eat as well as for the market. Just a couple blocks to the coast, cliffs and park for watching surfers. Oceanside and Solana Beach are very small and Vista is just not a garden spot.
