Mussels and Remoulade??

Planning a New Orleans menu. Seen some broiled mussel recipes with aioli or spicy mayo that look interesting. Anyone every tried this technique with a remoulade sauce? I'm thinking it could be yummy. And having the mussels cooked and ready to go would make it easy on party day.

    Remoulades are served with cold Shrimp and Crab Claw appetizers...I see no reason why it could not be served with mussels.....although, I would opt for a creole mustard or beurre blanc sauce myself.

      i only like remoulade with fried fish/shellfish or something like crab cakes that have a crsipy exterior. it's a texture thing for me. slippery sauce on slippery mussels doesn't appeal.
