I am going to a concert at Massey Hall and am meeting up with a friend for a drink beforehand. Any suggestions of where to go that's close (within a block or two) of Massey Hall? I want to avoid Yonge St./Eaton Centre if possible. Thanks!

How about walking up to bay and dundas to check out the new don don izykaya? Sounds fun!

Second Beer Bistro. A little pricey, but good food, and awesome beer selection

Now that Duggan's is gone, my pre Massey go to usually one of the Terronis on Victoria or Adelaide.

I don't think there are many decent options within 2 blocks of Massey Hall.

Queen & Beaver on Elm has been mentioned in past threads re: good options near Massey Hall. Looks like it's closer to 5 blocks from Massey Hall.

Also see the Massey Hall threads, that should be visible below this thread. I see 10 Massey Hall threads on my screen.

Pravda Vodka Bar on Wellington. Not opened Sundays though. They have a great Happy Hour weekdays from 5-7.

You might try the martini bar at the Pantages Hotel, across the street. Have not tried it but looks like a nice place to go for a drink. Fran's is in the same building if you want something more casual.
