Kikkoman Mirin down the tubes

I bought a new bottle recently, as my existing supply was getting low. I noticed the new bottle had a different shape, wider at the bottom. Fine.

What's not fine is that they have taken the alcohol out of what is supposed to be rice wine. Too bad I bought it before I noticed that part! Now all it is is treacle, IMO, anyhow. I'll have to make a special trip to the oriental market to get the real thing.

I thought I'd post this as a warning to others who might otherwise also get stuck with a useless bottle of syrup.

        I seriously doubt it. I've never seen Mitoku products in anything other than health food stores--they're targeted to a niche market.
