Gelato Blu has closed its Memorial location

Stopped by a few days ago and peered thru the darkened glass storefront. I'm hoping the downtown retail location is still running (around the corner from Bombay Pizza). Chuck brought his creative skills from the Siena Italy area and has served up the best gelato in Houston, IMHO.

It does, in fact, now have a "for lease" sign in the window.

Happily, it seems to be still open. Perhaps closed that day; it's best if an establishment posts a note ("away for family emergency") if they are to be closed during normally posted hours. Good news though!

Oh, too bad. I had been there. It is convenient to my work, but really not in a great location overall. He would probably do better in the dreaded burbs where kids live. Around the Memorial location is a bunch of the endless stretch of upscale apartments. I'm not sure the inhabitants eat, but they run a lot.
