Just left LA and moved to San Diego. I greatly miss the seafood noodle soups that I'd get at places like Kim Chuy in Chinatown and Alhambra. Any recommendations? thanks in advance.

  1. The two best chinese restaurants in town are Jasmine and Emerald Chinese Seafood restaurants. Call both of them up and see.

Jasmine and Emerald are HK style seafood restaurants. I think what you're looking for is more likely to be found in the Vietnamese/Cambodian/Chinese area south of San Diego State, along El Cajon Bl. (4600 through 6000 block) as well as University Ave. (4100 through 5500 block) It's been a couple years since I've been in San Diego, so I'm not sure which places are still there.

Best crab I ever ate was in a big barn of a place on University Ave south of SD State. I cant remember the name, but you can find it in the KMart parking lot. Amyone know the name?

Lucky Star restaurant. I posted earlier about this place. It is on 54th and University, and also has the best lobster deal in town. 12.95 for a whole lobster(Maine, the better kind).
          Good dim sum also.
