"Expired" V-8 juice?

Found 2 - 12 oz cans of V-8 juice in aluminum cans in the nether regions of my fridge with exp date of 5/2011- toss 'em or drink 'em?

  1. as long as the cans aren't bulging, you're safe.

    1. I'd be a bit concerned about the amount of BPA that might've leached in from the cans by now. But the juice ought to be unspoiled at least..

I think you're safe with 2 cans.....don't make a habit out of drinking from expired juices though. 24 ozs and you should still live to be 100.

      2. I have had "old" V-8 juice before and while I believe it is safe because the salt and acid content, a lot of settling occurs. It definitely requires a good shaking to get the tomato sludge and spices mixed in. I would use it for bloody marys personally.
