How far in advance do you need/ can you book for difficult reservations?

We'll be in Paris in August and wondering how soon restaurants like Frenchie take reservations? I know it will depend on their actually being open in August...

  1. Frenchie was not open most of last August. Usually it takes 2, 3 months in advance to reserve there.
Chez L'Ami Jean: 10 days for lunch, 2 weeks for dinner.

thank you! They're both on my list, I'll cross my fingers that they'll both be open when we're there.
