Where to get Sablefish (Black Cod)

I know it's been discussed in 2009 but have been looking and can't find any sable fish (black cod) for sale anywhere. Any ideas ???

I bought a lovely piece last year at New Deal Fish Market in Cambridge, so I know they have had it in the past (I don't get there very often). You could give them a call and see if they have.

Ebisuya in Medford often has it. I'd also check H-Mart.

hotoy may well be correct but i would still call courthouse fish and kim at capt. marden's and ask them.
and maybe typhoonfish will chime in here.

season generally starts in march, but with this wacky non-winter who knows, lol. there also isn't a lot of it available retail -- most goes directly to restaurants.
