Late night snack/meal on Sat. night at Pine Street/Van Ness Ave.

I have researched the threads talking about restaurants that are opened later but am looking for something that is close to our hotel.

We will be arriving late into the city on a Saturday night.

Location: near Holiday Inn Golden Gateway (at Pine Street and Van Ness Ave.)

Time: 11 pm and later

Price: reasonably priced ($15-20 pp)

Food type: all types except Indian

  1. Lers Ros or Thai House Express till midnight, Victor's Pizza till 12:30, Ozone Thai till 1am, Grubstake till 3,

    1. Grubstake serves grub (burgers, fries) and Portuguese food until 3 or later. Cash only.

1525 Pine St, San Francisco, CA 94109

      1. I second Lers Ros, Victor's & Grubstake (great burger!) Front Room Pizza is not as good these days, but their deep dish is quite filling and they are open until 1 am on Sat. Never had their Brazilian food but it looks interesting.

Bamboo is not great (think greasy Americanized,) but I like their crab rangoon, the prices are pretty reasonable for SF, and the delivery is usually fast. Open till midnight.

In the morning, be sure to make your way down to Fourth Wave Coffee on Pine & Polk. Great coffee, good prices, friendly & speedy service.

        1. Five blocks away at Geary and VanNess is Tommy's Joynt open until 2 a.m. Hof brau and inexpensive. Across the street is Mel's Diner, American Diner, only okay but open until 4 a.m. on weekends.

If you want killer donuts, try Bob's Donuts at Polk and Washington about 4 blocks away. Open 24 hours and expect a line at night. Just get anything fresh.

          1. Thanks for all the recs. Going to Grubstake that night and Lers Ros after our alcatraz night tour.
