Mung Bean balls?

I remember years ago every grocery and restaurant in china town bellaire and viet town in midtown had mung bean balls. Now I can't find them ANYWHERE.

These are the perfectly round balls covered in sesame seeds and fried. I've seen plant balls that look like it but filled with red bean paste usually. the mung beans are a yellow grainy texture within the sesame covered dough. - not the dark red.

Does anyone know where I can find them?

  1. Try Viet Hoa Food Market on Beltway 8, just south of Beechnut. They fry them up fresh throughout the day. I don't know if they do it every day as I usually go on Saturdays..
