Looking for a great Lunch Spot in Oakland...

There will be six of us this Saturday looking for a place we can have a leisurely lunch involving good food and decent prices. Any suggestions?

  1. Define "decent prices." Any particular part of Oakland? Any of the surrounding cities (Alameda, Berkeley, Emeryville) a possibility?

Decent as in not overpriced for the quality - I'm willing to spend the $ if the food is worth it - y'know? So places on my list so far are: Faz, Doppo, Lake Chalet (which is overpriced IMHO but the atmosphere makes up for it) Shimizu Sushi and Quinn's Lighthouse - I also like Luka...

Lake Merritt area, Piedmont, downtown, Temescal, JLS are all fine. Thanks!!

Faz and Dopo do not have lunch service Saturdays.

Unless the food at Quinn's Lighthouse has gotten a lot better under the new owners, it's not good.

Just go to Wood Tavern on College.

Can be very busy at 12 noon.

Better if you go at 1:30-2:00

        2. Bocanova, Champa Garden, Wood Tavern

            1. Pacific Coast Brewing on Washington, downtown.
