Define "decent prices." Any particular part of Oakland? Any of the surrounding cities (Alameda, Berkeley, Emeryville) a possibility?

Decent as in not overpriced for the quality - I'm willing to spend the $ if the food is worth it - y'know? So places on my list so far are: Faz, Doppo, Lake Chalet (which is overpriced IMHO but the atmosphere makes up for it) Shimizu Sushi and Quinn's Lighthouse - I also like Luka...

Lake Merritt area, Piedmont, downtown, Temescal, JLS are all fine. Thanks!!

Unless the food at Quinn's Lighthouse has gotten a lot better under the new owners, it's not good.

Can be very busy at 12 noon.

Better if you go at 1:30-2:00
