Triple D comes to Annapolis

Kind of an odd choice for this show. Galway Bay is a pretty standard Annapolis watering hole. The folks at Chick and Ruth's must be fuming.

I haven't been to Galway Bay in years, but for my money I always prefered Castle Bay on Main Street.

On the 27th they will air the R&R Taqueria episode.

That show clearly lost it's way. Is Galway Bay a Diner, Drive-In, or Dive? If it wasn't for the good publicity, I would be insulted if I were them to be 'nominated' for this show.

I don' t think they were insulted according to the article. Not sure why they would be?

I said that I'd be insulted if I had a nice restaurant and was told that it was either a dive or a diner (clearly its not a drive-in). Certainly they're not upset, the publicity far outweighs it. I just don't why you'd include a typical mid range restaurant-bar on the show. Next week is gas station tacos, fine that fits. But well prepared Irish Food in a nicely decorated space?

Well the key, like you say, is the publicity. Its like a lottery win for any business to get featured on DDD. A lot of people actually travel around going to places featured on that show for better or worse... Good for them I say. And I wouldnt consider it an insult independent of the publicity. After a while you run out of places that will satisfy the true "purists". The only thing is that Fieri's shtick has gotten really old but most of the places they feature are still MONEY (sorry...).

Galway Bay actually has some of the best crab cakes in Annapolis, interestingly enough. And surprisingly good food. But I would not have expected to be on Triple D, good for them though, they are a very nice family establishment.
