Any good recommendations to set me up for 5 days in NYC?

Good coffee, good pancakes, great bacon..... Range of prices?

Thinking in and out deli's to les halles round the the corner?

Cheers chow hound!

  1. Great breakfast/brunch at The Breslin at the Ace Hotel, 29th and B'way.

Dont ask for egg whites, they wont make em, dont ask for a big table even if no one else is in there, they wont seat you, tables wobble, bread is weird, not a fan of The Breslin for Bfast - lunch ok, dinner better, drinks always, bfast no way

      1. Definitely the Breslin. Try the deep fried PB&J, full English breakfast, grilled 3-cheese sandwich (with cheese on the outside), bacon, or pastries. On weekends they also serve the lamb burger with thrice fried fries during brunch. To avoid waits, go on a weekday.

Eataly or Stumptown for a quick espresso and pastry.

For a diner, Chock Full of Nuts or Eisenberg's, maybe? 2nd Avenue Deli is also nearby.

Penelope's on Lex and 30th is also popular for breakfast/brunch. To avoid waits, go on a weekday.

For more "upscale" takeout, try 'wichcraft.

        1. 2nd Ave. Deli (on 33rd, b/t Lex & 3rd) is kosher, so no bacon, no butter for your toast, milk/cream for your coffee, etc.

          Sarge's Deli (on 3rd, b/t 36th & 37th) is not kosher and is open 24/7.

          Upscale breakfast options:

Maialino (on ground level) and the rooftop Terrace, in the Gramercy Park Hotel, on the corner of Lex & Gramercy Park N.

Ai Fiori, in the Setai Hotel, on Fifth Av., b/t 36th & 37th Sts.

Second Sarge's Deli. Friendly service. Portions can be very generous. My order of blintzes lasted me for 2 breakfasts- I took half my order home in a doggie bag!

            2. Penelope is excellent. If they are busy sit at the counter.
L'Express makes a nice breakfast too.

              1. Resto and Les Halles are nearby. Resto may only do weekend brunch however.
