Restaurant for wife's B-day with friends

We're going down to SF for St Paddy's day weekend with two couples. Looking for a fun restaurant or some other ideas for the 17th. A friend suggested Supperclub SF. I looked at the website and it really turned me off. Need help, please......

Try being more specific. Type of cuisine, atmosphere, price point, location. Your question is too broad. I can see how the Supperclub would turn you off! Since it's the 17th, are you trying to incorporate St Patty's day in with the birthday or is that just coincidence?

My wife's b-day is the 16th. We're staying in Union Square, but we really could end up anywhere. Would like to spend a moderate amount of money. One of our group is pregnant, 5 mths in March, and I don't want to push a huge amount of money on them. I loved jardiniere and we don't want Italian. Still pretty broad, but I'm tired of Yelp giving me the same options every search. Thanks.

"would like to spend a moderate amount of money" Not sure what that means. I like Jardiniere, but for me that qualifies as more than moderate, especially if your having drinks and or wine. Maybe you'd like Absinthe, 25 Lusk, Gitane, Kokkari, Bix, Chez Papa Resto, even the House of Prime Rib. Check out there websites. If none of those appeal to you, there's plenty more. Good luck.
