Dinner before the Royal Oak Music Theatre, DTW

My love and I have tickets to Cinematic Titanic at the Royal Oak Music Theatre this Saturday. Doors open at 6, show starts at 7, so we'll probably be eating around 4:30 or so. We're wondering where to go for dinner. Nothing too fancy, nothing super expensive. Drinks aren't an issue, since neither of us will be drinking that night. Neither of us care for sushi.

Based off the archives and Google, we've thought of:
1) Antica Pizzeria Fellini;
2) Lockhart's BBQ;
3) Cantina Diablo (probably not there; I've read like two decent reviews, and a ton of bad ones).
We're also open to spots in Fashionable, Fabulous Ferndale.

Any thought on those three places, or suggestions for spots that would be better?

One last thing: nothing that won't leave us too full--we can't pass up Astoria Pastry Shop for dessert, and it's basically across the street from the Music Theatre....

  1. Sangria's right across the street and focuses on tapas/small plates, might be a good choice. Also What Crepe? a small creperie is within walking distance as well-- sweet and/or savory crepes make for some light but tasty dining.

    1. How about One Eyed Betty's? I haven't been but the write ups look favorable:

      1. I'm in the same situation, but doing the 10pm show. I'll be watching the replies with interest.

        1. Town Tavern has good food, with prices ranging from sandwiches/salads/great French onion soup and appetizers to larger entrees. Cafe Muse can be good but pricey for small portions.

          I like Assagi Mediterranean Bistro on 9 Mile in Ferndale a lot, but you'd have to check their dining/open hours.
