Special Dinner in Ft. Lauderdale?
Looking for a place for a group dinner in Ft. Lauderdale to celebrate a big birthday. Thought of Brooks, but they weren't available. Now I'm thinking maybe someplace with a view, but need very good to great food...
Any ideas???

Thanks. I saw it on Zagats and checked their website. Is it fairly upscale?

Yes, it is fairly upscale, a high end steak and seafood restaurant. Is that what you are looking for?

No view at da Campo, and the food is obscenely priced. You'd leave with a mortgage if you brought a party.
3030 Ocean would be a good option; though pricey, the food delivers. Steak 954 does some small plates now that are more budget minded. Both have nice views. Aruba Beach cafe has OK food, and is a little of a madhouse, but it's right on the beach. Serafina in Victoria Park is on the new river and the food is good with a nice view. Best of luck!

I'd be interested to know if anyone's tried East End Brasserie at The Atlantic Hotel (the spot that was formerly Trina). The menu looks really good, great view, but I haven't heard a thing about it.

Thanks -- I love Coconuts but I think for this occasion I need someplace a bit "dressier." I will be back in FLL next week and am going to visit Grille 66. Thanks to everyone for your help.

It was good, not great...We tried it shortly after it opened...Will probably give it a while and then another try. We just weren't excited the first time around and the service was very amateurish.
