Where to Order Meyer Lemons From?

I'm looking to order some Meyer Lemons and I need a recommendation for an orchard that I can order from online. I'm in Georgia, so it would seem that ordering from a Florida grower would work out better than California. Thanks.

I wanted to make Meyer lemon ice cream but couldn't find Meyer lemons. I read somewhere that they are thought to be a cross between a lemon and a tangerine, so I blended fresh lemon and tangerine juice in roughly equal parts and it tasted just like Meyer lemon juice. It's a good alternative if you don't need whole lemons, and a lot cheaper than mail order.

I bought some at The Fresh Market (in southeastern PA) over the weekend. Citrus is at its peak these days; you ought to be able to find Meyer lemons in your local markets.

Or you could grow a Meyer Lemon tree.

In the ground, or if in a cold-winter location, in a container. Just roll it inside when winter arrives, and put the container next to a window. Wonderful fruit, native to China.

It's one of the more hardy citrus, and around here - SF Bay Area - they regularly get subjected to temps in the high 20s. When it gets really cold (for here) people cover them with sheets to protect them from frost. So depending on where in Georgia you are, you may be able to grow one outdoors.

If you're near a Fresh Market, I've seen them somewhat consistently at our local edition of the chain.

Last time I checked, Whole Foods was about $3.50/lb and Costco was about half of that (I think they had a 4lb bag). Online runs about $10/lb, shipping included, so you can likely do way better just about anywhere.

do you have a Costco membership?

Is there no way for you to find them locally? Shipping raises the cost significantly so even Whole Foods' high prices seem cheap by comparison.

I can consistently find Meyers at Whole Foods in CT. Definitely check there before ordering online.
