Looking for good hopefully new/in demand restaurant near DC Improv**

Years ago we went to Teatro Goldini but I don't think that's tops anymore especially by reviews. Going with another couple who also appreciate food. Any ideas? We would walk from the Improv to the restaurant (or the other way around). Thanks for all suggestions!

Not new, but Oval Room and Equinox are only about 3-4 blocks away. And Kellari Taverna is only about 2 blocks.

I still think Casa Nonna is your best bet.

Otherwise you can go to Tabard Inn.

There isn't a ton that is super new in that area. But near the Improv I really like Casa Nonna for home-style Italian. They have pastas, pizzas, and entrees. Everything I've had there has been delicious. They use fresh, simple ingredients. I highly recommend it.
