Nolita restaurants

  • 8
  • Share

I just moved to the Nolita area and have been trying to get around to some of the great restaurants in the neighborhood. I love Balaboosta, Parm and Torrisi's (of course!) but would love some other suggestions for brunch/dinner from those of you who have eaten your way through the neighborhood.

I'll take NoHo and SoHo suggestions too. Moved from the UES, so it's a new world for me down here!

Thanks!

In and around Soho: Lure, Blue Ribbon Brasserie, Boqueria, Aquagrill (great oysters), Balthazar, Hundred Acres, The Dutch. Lani Kai and Pegu Club for cocktails. Ceci Cela, Oro, Birdbath, Grandaisy, Dominique Ansel for bakeries. Kee's for chocolates. The Vendy Award-winning Calexico Cart.

Tacombi has great tacos, and Cafe Habana has the best grilled corn.

Love the recommendations. Total Foodie Chef, 2 days. Target Tour?

This thread is nearly two years old and recs for someone moving to the neighborhood will be much different than a visiting chef.

Start a NEW thread with where you are traveling FROM, your budget per person before tax, tip, alcohol, as well as how far in advance you're planning/travel dates. Some restaurants require planning a month or more in advance, some are closed Sundays, etc.

        2. Thanks for the responses!! I've been to a number of these places, but you definitely gave me quite a few more to try!!

By the way...I'm not a pizza expert, but Forcella had one of the best pizza I've ever had in my life! I'm a believer in the montanara!!

          1. to pile on to this otherwise complete list, I'm a big fan of L'asso for pizza. People don't normally mention it but its almost always busy and good. They just expanded to the EV.
