Gluttonous Chinatown brunch tomorrow

Swankalicious Feb 18, 2012 10:37 AM

Mr. Swank and I find ourselves unfettered by tots and a deux in the city tomorrow morning. We'll be in Chinatown. The pressing question: Where to brunch?!

We're fans of Winsor Dim Sum, and might go there. However, I'm always up for something new and tasty -- and unusual. Spicy, seafood-y, and cheap are all pluses. We have dined at and enjoyed: Peach Farm, Gourmet Dumpling, Hei Lei Moon.

We tend to avoid: China Pearl and Chau Chow City (the first-floor odor alone could put you off food for a week, to say nothing of the bathroom facilities).

This may seem like an odd question, but I concur about China Pearl's restroom - yuck. What Chinatown establishments that you know of have clean, fresh as a rose restrooms? It is important to me when dining out...

Dumpling Cafe! Incredibly neat, tidy and updated. Not to be confused with Gourmet Dumpling House, which for at least 4 years has had a Bic pen in place of the cold faucet handle in the women's restroom.

Winsor has a fine restroom. Taiwan Cafe has a decent restroom. I believe "New Shanghai" does as well.
